Software Engineer

Hello! My name is Rachel, I am a Software Engineer with a passion for building exciting projects. I have about 3 years of industry experience in a professional role. My strongest technologies include, JavaScript, React/Typescript, NodeJS/Express, Python & PHP/Laravel.

In my current role at MFour Mobile Research, I built a customer facing API using Python, PHP and MySQL that runs on a brand new microservice hosted on AWS which connects to our customers and automates several day to day business processes for our internal operations team. I have also played a key role in the development of our our SaaS platform using React/Typescript on the frontend and NodeJS/Express on the backend and a PostgreSQL database. I have built connections wilth companies such as Salesforce and Stripe to ensure that user and subscription data and all business generated from the platfrom is aligned for internal sales and finance teams.

While earning my Bachelors degree from UCSB and after graduating I attained 5 years of professional experience in the Customer Service industry. In 2020 I found a passion in programming and attended an intensive Full Stack Development program where I learned the fundamentals of programming. I have applied those skills and quickly picked up new skills and technologies in my 3 years in a professional Software Engineering role. I'm excited to continue to grow my skill set as I progress through my professional journey as a Software Engineer.
